We welcome those who are deeply passionate about quality in healthcare services and wish to seek to make a lasting contribution to improving the experiences of service users and families in the delivery of effective regulation, credible inspections and tangible quality improvements.
Specialist Advisors (SpAs) are clinicians who assist on inspection of dental providers. As part of the inspection team, SpAs provide clinical advice, which helps to ensure that CQC’s judgements are informed by up-to-date and credible clinical and professional knowledge and experience. The role is ad-hoc and can be undertaken alongside your current role.
You will work with a vibrant team, enjoying a varied and challenging remit as you inspect and regulate dental services to make sure they are safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led.
You will be a Dentist or Dental Hygiene Therapist, in active clinical practice and established in the field of Dentistry with experience you can draw on to enable you to offer specialist advice on inspections.
You will have up-to-date and credible clinical and professional knowledge and experience which will help you evaluate and analyse evidence and information.
You should be a skilled communicator, with the ability to engage with staff, service users and stakeholders at every level, demonstrating a transparent approach and interpreting complex information and you should be comfortable working as part of a team.
