Senior Public Engagement & Insight Officer

Location – London

Permanent/Secondment or Fixed Term Opportunity

Grade B £42,050-£49,375 (London)

About the role

Are you passionate about working with the public to improve the way organisations work? Then this could be the right role for you!

As a Senior Public Engagement and Insight Officer, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of research and engagement projects which seek to understand what the public think about our performance, ideas, strategies, policies and methods.

The role will also see you working across the organisation to develop national policies and methodologies on public engagement, including development of our public coproduction programme and line management to two officers.

It’s a challenging role and one in which you’ll be expected to put the needs of people who use health and social care services at the heart of your work and confidently champion this across the organisation.

About you

Educated to degree-level or equivalent, you're used to delivering complex projects and managing a range of stakeholders, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and resources effectively, or experience in public engagement approaches in digital and non-digital methods. Strong influencing skills are required.

You have knowledge, skills and experience in digital and non-digital engagement techniques to execute effective communications and build relationships; not only across the organisation but also with key charities, suppliers and researchers.

You’ll take a collaborative approach to problem solving, a team player with strong communication and influencing skills.

You’re experienced in public engagement, consultation and research, with evidence of continuous professional development in public engagement or communications would also be a plus, as would knowledge of the health and social care system in England.
