About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with communications and engagement experience to join a team who plan and deliver continuous engagement of the public and organisations who represent or act on their behalf to ensure their voices, ensuring people are put at the centre of CQC's decisions about when, where and what to inspect. This includes seldom heard communities, people with protected characteristics and people made vulnerable by their circumstances.  

As a member of the Public Engagement; Public Voice and Partnerships team, you will work with team managers and peers to plan and deliver effective public engagement partnerships and activity that supports all parts of the Operating model, including stakeholder management, public awareness raising campaigns, coproduction and insight across all public population groups. Key parts of the role include management of a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders and support with the planning and delivery of “always on” public campaigns that support our Public Engagement strategy aims. The role includes using online and face-to-face engagement methods which are delivered through owned, earned and commissioned contracts and channels. In all our work we have key focus on monitoring, evaluating and reporting (internally and externally) on activities, including their reach and impact.

About you

We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic person with experience of working in a dedicated engagement and/or communications role. A strong team player, you will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team across digital and non-digital engagement methods.

Most of all, you will be passionate about public engagement and the role it plays in helping CQC be an excellent regulator.
