About the role
We have an exciting Medicines Inspector opportunity within our South Regional Team in the East Sussex/West Sussex area. Fundamentally your role will be to provide expert pharmaceutical advice on the safe management and effective use of medicines and input into the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC’s) regulatory, inspection and investigation activity.
As an excellent communicator, you will champion good practice, promoting this to stakeholders as an integral part of the dynamic Medicines Optimisation team, bringing your expert knowledge to support teams across the organisation. As part of this team, your role will be interesting, challenging and rewarding. Our Medicines Inspectors are required to be confident and informed about what good care looks like
You will be a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, who is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and has practised as a registrant for a minimum of 3 years. This is an exciting opportunity to use your professional knowledge and skills, to make a difference.
Your background will have allowed you to have gained a thorough understanding of the needs of people who use services. Most of all you’ll be enthusiastic, motivated and willing to lead by example in the achievement of personal, team and national goals. You will be computer literate and confident at articulating coherent rationales for action based on robust evidence both written and verbally.

Once shortlisted, successful applicants will attend an assessment centre which will include a number of exercises and an interview
