Let us tell you a little bit about the role....
As an Inspector within the Midlands and East region Mental Health and Community Health Services team, you will be part of a vibrant team, you’ll enjoy a varied, challenging remit as you inspect and regulate an allocated portfolio of mental health, substance misuse and community health services to make sure they are safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led. The inspections typically require on-site activity to gather evidence and make a judgement about quality and safety. Alongside this you will monitor the service through engagement activities and by dealing with enquiries and notifications related to the service.
What we're looking for from you...
You should have a good working knowledge of the mental health practice, Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. You must be able to demonstrate your commitment to involving people who use these services and their carers. You will be required to analyse and evaluate evidence, understand specialist terminology and interpret this ready for publication, you will have to be competent and confident and able to communicate at all levels. Most of all you'll be enthusiastic, pragmatic and willing to lead inspection teams by example in the achievement of personal, team and national goals.
You will work as part of a geographically dispersed homebased team within the Midlands and East region and as such we are looking for people who are self-driven and have the energy to manage the dynamic of life in a non-office based environment.
