Location: please note this is a home-based role covering the London area and you will be required to be based in the region during the working week.

Contract: Part-time, permanent (0.6 job share - 22.2 hours per week)

About the Role

We are looking for an Inspection Manager to join our London Team within the ASC Directorate.  As an Inspection Manager you will be responsible for a team of Inspectors and a portfolio of services.

It is a varied role where you’ll ensure a consistent CQC approach as you inspect and rate providers in your area. Leading your inspection team by example in making sure services are safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led, you will manage personal and team objectives while agreeing and signing off annual inspection programmes. You will also enjoy building and forging great working relationships both internally and externally with stakeholders such as MPs and Local Authorities.  Of course, you will live our vision, objectives and values in everything you do.

This role is interesting, challenging and rewarding, Inspection Managers are required to have proven leadership skills, the ability to motivate, focus and develop individuals and the team whilst being confident and informed about what good care looks like.

About You

To succeed you will need experience of managing and leading a team portfolio and allocating work effectively, using management information systems.  You will be experienced in working in a health or social care setting and be computer literate. We expect you to bring out the best in your team, motivating them to achieve excellence.  It is an exciting, unpredictable environment so you will need to be flexible and willing to travel to a variety of locations. You must be able to prepare and present reports on complex issues with ease and be adept at communicating across all levels to both internal and external partners.

Most of all you will be enthusiastic, motivated and willing to lead a team by example in the achievement of personal, team and national goals.
