IR(ME)R Clinical Specialist Radiology Inspector

An exciting opportunity for an IR(ME)R Clinical Specialist Radiology Inspector has arisen within our Hospitals Directorate.
The role of this post is to take responsibility for the investigation of IR(ME)R notifications of radiology errors and inspect organisations under IR(ME)R.
You will work with colleagues to support our comprehensive radiology department, inspection programme to develop an individual inspection plan that details activities, timelines and priorities ensuring capacity to schedule the required responsive and planned inspections.
You will be responsible for managing your individual workload, working flexibly as part of a team and undertaking other tasks as required.
You will need experience of using analytical information and robust evidence to inform decisions against a risk-based methodology and evidence gathering and synthesis
A thorough understanding of Microsoft Office packages and experience of using customer relationship management software are essential.
The successful candidate will be registered with HCPC, have experience of working in a Health background in radiology or medical imaging departments and of implementing IR(ME)R in imaging departments.

While the post is permanent and full time, the post could also suit a radiographer or medical physicist with significant interest in radiology activities, as a fixed-term contract for 24 months initially
