Head of Strategic Planning & Change

Flexible, with weekly presence in London office required

Salary - from £70,000 pa

Reporting to the Director of Planning, Performance and Programmes, the Head of Strategic Planning & Change will provide practice leadership for the continued development of CQC’s Operating Model, its Change Portfolio, and have responsibility for medium term and the annual planning processes.  To be effective, the postholder must provide leadership and support in equal measure across all directorates, and all levels of the business including the Board and Executive Team, ensuring robust strategic planning and change management arrangements are in place to deliver well – to time, to budget, delivering the outcomes and the benefits expected by the organisation.

With overall responsibility for Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, Programme Management and Benefits Management, your success will be the recognition by the organisation as a centre of excellence for planning and change delivery. 

A strong people leader and influencer at senior level, with experience of leading change in a live operational setting, you should have a strong background in strategic planning, including risk and benefits management.  With experience of managing commercial relationships including procurement processes and contract management, you will have the ability to manage, develop and coach staff to build team capability and impact in a changing environment.
