Let us tell you a little bit about the role....
In this high-profile executive role, you'll take overall responsibility for the quality and delivery of ASC inspections, as well as the implementation of enforcement action. Expect to be involved in everything from setting the inspection programme to managing risk, overseeing budgets to allocating resources. You'll recruit, retain and develop first-class inspection teams and contribute your expertise to national strategic and policy decisions. This key role also takes in external communications, such as speaking engagements and media work as well as leading on a number of directorate-wide projects.
What we're looking for from you....
You should have a background in Adult Social Care and experience in a senior management/leadership role in a complex organisation.
You'll demonstrate a clear understanding of the importance of regulatory and inspection activity – and the leadership skills to deliver it. The ability to lead and contribute to strategic discussions, internally and externally as well as proven relationship management skills would be a plus, as would any media experience.
You will need to demonstrate a strong ethos of team working with a focus on team and individual wellbeing, an approach of working in partnership and collaboration with stakeholders and the public and a drive to encourage improvement across adult social care services in the East Midlands area.
Extensive travel across the Central East Midlands area of England will be required.
