Job Title – Directorate Support Team Leader
Location – Preston or Bristol
Grade D, £24,982 per annum (National)
About the role
As Directorate Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver high quality, effective operational support to the Directorate focussing on achievement of service levels and delivery of excellent customer service. This support will include areas such as leading on planned activity and prepare reports within designated business responsibilities, overseeing delivery of effective support to key Directorate meetings and contributing to the audit and assurance management process.
Central to this role will be to lead in a high performance culture where you give high support and healthy constructive challenge. Your line management support responsibilities to your team will include identifying training and development needs, ensure staff have access to appropriate support mechanisms and drive staff engagement.
To be successful in this role you will need to be educated to degree, equivalent qualification level, or able to demonstrate appropriate operational experience. You should be able to manage and interrogate qualitative and quantitative data using available reports and in conjunction with appropriate teams. This will be supported by your strong organisational skills to work flexibly and collaboratively across teams and with various stakeholders to respond proactively to directorate demands and changing priorities.
Experience of effective stakeholder relationship management, you will have the ability to lead and motivate a team that performs to agreed standards and strives to achieve ongoing improvement, along with the ability to present complex information in a variety of easily understood formats. It is also essential you hold excellent IT skills (particularly in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), written and oral communication skills.
It would be of added benefit to your application to have knowledge and understanding of CQC’s role within the health & social care environment and also understand wider organisational context and related impacts of Directorate responsibilities and support requirements.
