Director of Transformational Change
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. It makes sure that health and social care services are provided to people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care while continuously driving the improvement of care services. In recent years, the CQC has radically changed the way it works, resulting in greater confidence within its systems and findings. Their ambition for the next few years is a more targeted, responsive and collaborative approach to regulation so more people get high quality care.
The Director of Transformational Change will be a new role at CQC, expected to provide leadership in the change arena and deliver effective and compelling change models and programmes across the organisation. They will possess the strategy and oversight to implement cultural, behavioural and process transformational change at scale and pace. The individual will create the end state design for the organisation and provide a clear vision and narrative for transformation.
The Director of Transformational Change will report into CQC’s Chief Operating Officer and will be a member of the Regulatory, Customer and Commercial Operations Senior Leadership Team, managing the Strategic Planning and Change team. Providing leadership and direction to guide the organisation through the change process, the Director of Transformational change will keep stakeholders focused on delivering the agreed change outcomes and benefits.
Candidates should have significant experience in a senior transformational or change leadership role in a large and complex environment, demonstrating cultural, process and system wide improvement from their change or transformational strategies. Furthermore, the experience of leading in uncertainty during a transformative period and presenting a clear direction and vision for change is essential.
