About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join the finance team on a fixed term basis to cover a role temporarily vacated (due to cover for a period of maternity leave). Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will be a key member of the team, supporting the effective financial management of our Strategy & Intelligence Directorate. This role liaises with all Heads of within S&I Directorate and provides the link on financial and operational performance to the Finance Business Partner as part of the FBP’s strategic updates to Senior Leadership.
With responsibility for the completion of financial reporting and forecasting as well as providing financial advice, support and challenge to heads of function, this role is key to enabling CQC to provide financial guidance and support to this directorate.
We are ideally looking for a part qualified accountant, but would consider a candidate with a suitable level of experience. You will have solid experience of analysing business performance, preferably within a public sector environment. A confident communicator, with a flair for relationship building, you will be skilled in managing your stakeholders.
You will be highly analytical and IT literate with experience of creating and maintaining financial models and leading on financial projects. Excellent IT skills, including using Microsoft Office will be a key driver for your success in this role.
