Let us tell you a little bit about the role....
IR(ME)R stands for Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations. An exciting opportunity for an IR(ME)R Inspector has arisen within our Hospitals Directorate. The role is responsible for the investigation of IR(ME)R notifications of radiology errors carrying out inspections under IR(ME)R 2017 and taking any necessary enforcement action. You will be responsible for managing your individual workload, working flexibly as part of a team and undertaking other tasks as required.

You’ll also enjoy building and forging great working relationships both internally and externally, with stakeholders such as clinical commissioning groups, NHS Improvement and Healthwatch. Of course, you’ll live our vision, objectives and values in everything you do.
What we're looking for from you...
This role is interesting, challenging and rewarding!
We’re looking for candidates with a degree in Diagnostic or therapeutic Radiography or equivalent, ideally with specific experience within Diagnostic or therapeutic Radiography. You will also need to possess a current HCPC Registration.
To succeed you’ll need extensive experience of analysing complex data sets to inform decisions against a risk-based methodology and an understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential.
While the post is permanent and full time, we may also consider job shares or part time roles.
It’s an exciting, unpredictable environment so you’ll need to be flexible and willing to travel to a variety of locations. You will work as part of a geographically dispersed homebased team and as such we are looking for people who are self-driven and have the energy to manage the dynamic of life in a non-office based environment.
